AWS Management Console

AWS Management Console
About AWS Management Console
AWS Management Console is an application performance management software that helps businesses in the retail, IT, advertising, marketing, and other sectors access AWS Cloud to manage accounts and build new applications. The platform enables administrators to configure services, track service usage, create groups, and troubleshoot issues on a unified interface.
Managers can view featured articles, tutorials, tips from AWS experts, webinars, deployment templates, and more via the resource library. AWS Management Console offers a unified search feature, which allows teams to find products across AWS marketplace, documentation, features, and services. Operators can also build architectures in AWS data centers and manage resource groups across projects using tag editor.
AWS Management Console lets businesses monitor system-wide health, update billing information, and receive alerts on exceeding the predefined cost limits. Supervisors can also configure role-based access permissions among team members and manage security credentials on a centralized dashboard.

Overall, my experience has been positive, but as mentioned the cluttered user interface can be problematic when I need to find a specific service. Also the billing page is lost in the clutter and makes it difficult for bill management and payment even after having a great cost estimation tool for the services that I have used on AWS
Pros
I appreciate the amount of tools and services that are available in the console. It sums up all of the services in a well defined interface with the most important parts right in front of the user
Cons
The amount of services that AWS provides in general is a lot, and in order for them to fit on a single platform, the management console might look too daunting and cluttered to new users. The UI could use a rework and allow ease of access to people who are new to the platform

Overall, I love AWS and cloud as a whole. I no longer need to carry around a powerful laptop as I can run a powerful instance on AWS and when needed. This has revolutionized the way I work. I can easily test out things on AWS environment before deploying them in a real environment.
Pros
The graphical user interface of AWS management console is quite user friendly and easy to get started with for all type of users. Through the console, you get access to all AWS services including EC2 instances, storage services, public IPs etc. You can easily add and remove resources using the console in a matter of a few clicks. The search engine functionality of the console is quite good. I mostly find myself finding things(e.g. billing management) by searching them rather than navigating.
I like that you can easily add resources to existing EC2 instances through the console. For example, the other day I needed to add ram to my EC2 instance, and I easily did that through the console.
AWS have added two factor authentication when logging on to the console to increase the security of your account. This way, your account cannot be easily hacked.
Through the console, you can create resources in different regions which costs differently enabling you to access the cheapest deals possible.
Cons
If you are dealing with bulk activities, these are better handled with automation scripts or the AWS Command Line Interface as using the management console can prove more time consuming and less efficient.
There is a some sort of learning curve involved in being able to efficiently navigate all the features of the management console. Hiring help with that can be expensive since the cost of solutions architects can be expensive
The cost of AWS can be expensive for small businesses with smaller revenue and therefore not sustainable.

I started using AWS Console for a small project and I felt a not-so-smooth learning curve ahead of me. Eventually, I managed to use it for the services I needed, but it is not the easiest one, also because of the huge complexity and scale of AWS products.
Pros
It is a feature-rich interface, generally appreciated by the experienced developer working with AWS for several years
Cons
As said in the pros, it is really dense of information. This means that it is, on the other hand, overwhelming for the new learner, requiring a stronger guidance than competitor's managment consoles, in my opinion
