Barracuda Forensics and Incident Response is an email security software designed to help businesses identify and manage various external email attacks including ransomware or phishing emails. The application enables organizations to monitor security threats, block malicious emails, and automate workflows.

It offers a variety of features such as a self-service portal, SSL security, email tracking, reporting, incident management, automated alerts, access control, analytics, and more. Barracuda Forensics and Incident Response allows managers to create action plans, automate workflows and search emails by subject or recipient details. It also lets IT administrators permanently remove malicious emails from user inboxes.

Barracuda Forensics and Incident Response offers an API, which facilitates integration with several third-party platforms such as VMWare, Avira, Amazon Web Services, OnTrack, Google Cloud Platform, Splunk and more. It also helps professionals automatically send custom messages with instructions to change passwords and other remediation actions to users via email.

I have had good experience with the product so far and it has reduced the amount of time that I am manually having to deal with incoming sender clock requests, and overall seems to have further reduced the amount of SPAM and malicious emails that are getting to the users inboxes.

Pros

I like how this product provides an additional layer of security for our email platform, we use this in conjunction with the Email Security product as well as the Cloud to Cloud backup. We like how it will automatically detect incidents and if something suspicious slips by we can have users self report using the Outlook plugin tool. We also like that when reporting a suspicious email, it blocks the user using the rules I setup within Incident Response.

Cons

So far we have had no issues with it, the only thing I encountered was that the initial setup is a bit tricky but their tech support staff is very helpful and was able to get us setup correctly in no time at all.
