About DLS Financials
DLS Financials will add the ability to manage savings, loan, and pooled investment sub-accounts for your diocese parishes and interface with all of these other main Accounting System shown. Manage accounts by entering transaction, printing statements, letters, emails, invoices, as well as providing an online portal for them to view those accounts. Then use the transaction export to send those transactions to these other main accounting systems through GL and AP accounts.
Designed by 65+ dioceses over the past 22+ years. DLS Financials will immediately handle any special requirements that you have for handling your accounts and interfacing with accounting system of all types.
Updated features and functions can be added at that you need for your specific needs upon request. 24/7 phone support is available to help with any problem with the software or even the hardware that you use with the program.
Over a hundred different reports with several filter options allow for specific information to be reported on. Many different types of accounts make it easy to have the system handle a wide variety of rules and processes without restrictions caused by FDIC or FSLIC rules.
DLS Financials functions as an internal banking program within an organizations so government rules are not required to be followed. Thus you can set your own rules for processing, paying, and billing of the accounts.
You also have the ability to have the information needed for your accounting system to be exported and then imported into over a dozen popular business accounting systems. As new core accounting software are created, The Computer Department, Inc also update the list of systems DLS export to.
Letters, contracts, billing, and reports are all in DLS Financials. Your current accounts and historical transactions can also be imported into the system to handle the migration to a new system with ease.
Add digital documents and images into the data and link them to locations, accounts, or even transactions for quick, easy reference. They can also be recreated out of the data so you don't need to keep the paper originals near your desk.
Training is available for only $250 through a web meeting. Installation is included in the purchase price. After purchase, you can use the program as much as you want but if you would like to include support and the DLS Online module, those are an annual cost of $1,800 and $1,500 respectfully. Importing of starting and historical data is also offered.

Good experience with DLS. Support is very responsive and rarely needed! I especially like that it is so easy to learn and use. It is not overly complicated. It tracks hundreds of savings deposit accounts and loans and does it well. It does not try to be an "everything" product.
Pros
DLS is user-friendly. It is easy to learn and entries are quick. It also fully integrates with our accounting system. Tracks loan and savings balances. The statements are clear and straight-forward; easy both to generate and to understand.
Cons
The user manual could be improved. But thankfully the support is great and knowledgeable.

Pros
I like how easy it is to use and how many different types of reports you can run to filter the information that you need.We are able to easily keep track of parish and school's money while reconciling it to our accounting software.

Overall, I am very satisfied with DLS. I don't give it much thought which is a good thing because it allows me to do my job with no hassles. Also, whenever I have a question or a problem (which is rare), customer support gets back to me within an hour of my text.
Pros
We have 135 parishes and many of them have savings accounts and loans with us. There are many transactions weekly. This software enables us to accurately track all of these transactions, calculate interest, estimate loan payoffs and run reports with ease. I never had "formal" training on it when I started and it is very easy to pick up. Plus it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Cons
I don't really have any complaints. Their are preformatted reports and sometimes I wish I could customize them more to my liking, HOWEVER that doesn't hamper me in any way.

While there is no direct way for a client to modify a report, there are two ways that a client can get it done. First by just asking for us to make a copy of the report and modify it for them. The second is that if a client has the knowledge of MS Access, they can connect to the data and write their own reports program for their own custom reports. We are always here to help in either case!

With DLS Financials we are able to provide or parishes with excellent/ reliable banking needs. the interface with our accounting department allows us produce our company financial report with ease.
Pros
DLS id easy to use. The computer Department Inc, has made many updated enhancements to the software over the years. We converted to DLS on 2003. We have had little to no issues. When we do have an issues , The programmer quickly resolves it. If we have a need for a special report , they add or create it for us with no problems.
Cons
I would be nice If DLS allows you to filter reports within parishes without choosing parish by parish. i.e. general operations account for all parishes. ( however this can still be done by exporting the report to excel)

In order to get a specific type of an account within a location, you need to create an account classification, category, or restriction and assign it to the accounts. Then in reports, set the filters for those classifications, categories, or restrictions.

DLS Financials offers the following pricing plans:
- Starting from: US$7,000.00/one-time
- Free Trial: Available
Pricing is based upon the features (modules/editions) that you are purchasing. While the price is a one time cost, we offer free financing over 2-4 years for the initial purchase. There is no per user and workstation install costs. Support and DLS Online usage are available starting at $1,800/year up to $3,300/year. Initial install and setup of program is included in the price. Training is provided online for $250 for 2-3 hours. In person training is possible at a much high cost if requested. Importing starting accounts $500 for all savings, $500 for all loans, and $500 for all historical transactions. This is NOT a price per cost but a flat cost! No special hardware is required but a shared workstation or server computer with data backup is needed to share data with other workstations and backing up data.
