About Postage $aver
Postage $aver is low-cost software that makes it easy to prepare USPS bulk mailings, so you save postage and time.
Postage $aver:
- walks you through each mailing step-by-step, so you don't have to learn "postal-speak";
- prints an easy-to-follow instruction sheet for each mailing, listing the zip codes that go in each tray or sack;
- automatically prints the required barcoded tray or sack tags using standard business card sheet stock;- fills out and prints the correct USPS postage statement and required mailing reports;
- prints your addresses on popular label formats or directly on your mail piece, sorted for quick assembly in the required trays or sacks, or sets up your mailing list to use in a mail merge to create your own custom format;

Instead of having to pay for the larger Mail Houses to process our jobs, we can keep in house with less concern about the Mail Houses going after our Customers. Postage Saver truly makes your job simpler and takes the guess work out when dealing with the USPS paperwork.
Pros
Whether you are using bar codes or not, the program is easy to use. Enter your information, locate the address list in question, then press 'start'. I use the program two to three times per week, you will not find a better product at this price point. Support has been great for couple of times I needed help, responsive and went out of their way to share how to fix spreadsheet issues.
Cons
Minor issue at best and more an issue with Mac OS, i have to separately print the Postage Statement, Qualification and Mail Prep sheets individually. Really a minor issue, takes an additional minute to go through and print each report separately.

You should be able to print all the reports together when the report dialog comes up during the preparation process. Where you are limited, though, is if you choose "save as pdf" instead of printing, in which case it will only save one at a time.

Overall, I'm thrilled with this postage software. Not only is it user-friendly, accurate, and backed by excellent customer service, but it's also incredibly affordable. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable postage solution on a budget.
Pros
I started using this postage software 10+ years ago, and I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed. This software is incredibly easy to use. As a visual learner, I appreciate the user-friendly interface that makes navigating the program a breeze. I didn't need to spend hours reading manuals or watching tutorials to get started - everything was intuitive and straightforward.
Another feature is the accuracy of the reports generated by this software. I've found them to be spot-on every time. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I can trust the data provided by this program.
One thing I truly appreciate is the lightning-fast customer service response times. Whenever I've had a question, the support team has been quick to respond and incredibly helpful.
Cons
The only downside for me is that the software is PC-based, and as an Apple user, I initially wished for compatibility with Apple software like Numbers. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my Apple computer can easily export files to Excel, allowing me to seamlessly integrate this postage program into my workflow.

Unfortunately, Numbers is a proprietary data format which is not easily translated, and we haven't found a utility we could build into our Mac versions to read it directly. But thanks for the nudge - we'll put it on the list to look again.

Does not completely place subscribers in the right order. Some are scattered and you have to go through labels in advance and mark them and then remember that. It would be nice if you could created a route number which would be broken up into the separate routes.
Pros
Cost is the biggest benefit. I like the postal report. All I have to put in is percent and weight.
Cons
Have to keep a separate list in Microsoft spreadsheet and do a mail merge every week. You have to mark the labels every week.

Postage Saver does not support carrier route sorting, and that is indeed a limitation of the software. At this point, we see the potential market for its use as too small for the substantial additional complexity (and price) it would add to the product. Postage Saver walks you through each step of the process with detailed explanations of each input. The software is easy to learn and simple to use. The last mailing I did I saved over $8000 in postage because I was able to send my magazines periodical rate. I wouldn't have been able to do that without Postage Saver!
Pros
Very simple setup, easy to use, everything you need is printed out and ready for you
Cons
I wish there was a way to save previous mailings. Also would like to be able to compare different inputs to figure out what might be a cheaper way to mail. One other recommendation -- the website looks a bit outdated and I remember I was a little bit hesitant to buy Postage Saver because I didn't know if it was legit or not.

As to saving previous mailings, are you talking about for setup or saving the printouts? You can save the statement setups and recall them on the screen where you enter the statement info. The best way to save previous printouts is to save them as pdfs. You can do that when you first create them, or you can go back and do that for the most recent mailing from the File menu in Postage Saver.
As to comparing postage costs, we have some rate calculators on our web site that let you estimate costs for different types of mail. Look in the Learn About Bulk Mail section at savepostage.com, and there are several listings for "cheapest way to send" depending on the content of your mail.

Switching over to Postage Saver Pro was smooth, thanks to the online information and easy availability of customer support. The cost can't be beat and allows us much more flexibility than other subscription or pay-as-you-go services we have used in the past. Timely updates and communications keep us up to date on the latest, and confusing, USPS changes - for which we are very grateful!
Pros
Thanks to Postage $aver we are finally doing electronic submissions to PostalOne! with no problems -- something I was afraid would be very problematic. The Mail Prep instructions for our bindery person are clear and exact, and the Postal Wizard Instructions to explain how to use the online USPS portal are the BEST! Each time I use them I am so grateful and appreciate how they walk us through each step for each mailing. I would have found the USPS website very confusing without these instructions. I tell my boss each time we discuss mailings what a perfect fit Postage $aver has been for us, and how much time, cost, and worry it has saved us due to your clear instructions and customer support.
Cons
I wish there were some type of archive of previous jobs in case we wanted to go back and review the specs of a job done last month or last year. But that is really a minor drawback, and one we haven't been able to work around.
