Cloud-based digital vault for storing passwords

About Hypervault

Hypervault is a cloud-based password management software designed to help businesses securely store passwords and other confidential data, such as credentials, keys or licenses, in a centralized vault. Supervisors can sort data in specific folders, subfolders, or workspaces and organize them based on custom tags.

Hypervault provides organizations with predefined templates to securely store data and notes in required formats. Managers can import sensitive information in CSV format, configure users’ access permissions, and invite them to edit or manage specific folders based on assigned rights.

Hypervault enables businesses to retrieve specific folders or information from the database using the search functionality.

Securing Success: Hypervault Unlocks Exceptional Value with Unrivaled UI and Budget-friendly...

Reflecting on our overall experience with Hypervault, the switch from our previous password...

Reflecting on our overall experience with Hypervault, the switch from our previous password management tool proved to be a prudent decision. Our former tool lacked a comprehensive nested folder structure for shared items, and levied charges for view-only users. Hypervault, on the other hand, has made sharing credentials a hassle-free process with its inclusive approach and user-friendly interface. One notable strength of Hypervault is its intuitive interface. It seamlessly accommodates even the most tech-challenged among our team, making the transition smooth and the usage straightforward. A standout feature we appreciate is the ability to add our clients as 'External Users.' This is done without any additional cost on our monthly bill, thus presenting a cost-effective solution to share credentials and reduce the pile-up of unnecessary support tickets. Moreover, Hypervault has made user management a breeze with its 'Teams' feature. This functionality empowers us to bulk assign permissions to several users simultaneously, whether related to a single item or a group of folders. From an overarching perspective, Hypervault holds its own against any other password management tool available. It does this while providing a cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing user interface. Furthermore, it does all this at a more affordable price point. Our experience with Hypervault underscores its worth as a reliable, cost-effective, and intuitive tool for secure password management

Pros

In reviewing Hypervault, one key aspect that unequivocally stands out is the 'Custom Template' function. This remarkable feature brings a level of customization that effortlessly suits your individual business needs, setting Hypervault apart in the crowded field of secure business password management tools. While Hypervault provides you with a generous serving of standard options including login, email, FTP, and software license, among others, the beauty lies in the 'Custom Template' feature. It deftly enables you to devise and save items based on unique parameters you set, further enhancing the tool's adaptability. This dynamic feature redefines user-centric design, offering the ability to mold the tool in response to your business's specific needs. Ultimately, the 'Custom Template' function acts as a testament to Hypervault's commitment to offering flexible, personalized security solutions, solidifying its position as a value-driven choice in the password management space.

Cons

In the interest of delivering a balanced review, it's necessary to discuss potential drawbacks of Hypervault. However, in this case, uncovering explicit negatives has proved to be challenging. The platform, being relatively new, has shown remarkable responsiveness when it comes to addressing user needs. The company has employed a commendable approach where users can make feature requests on their roadmap. I've personally found this avenue to be met with open arms by their [sensitive content hidden], reflecting the team's commitment to continuous improvement and user satisfaction.Of course, the key here is maintaining this level of attentiveness and responsiveness as the platform continues to grow and evolve. Provided Hypervault sticks to their articulated path and sustains this proactive approach to user feedback and feature requests, any potential negatives seem more likely to be fleeting inconveniences than persistent issues. Thus, while there's always room for growth, at present, Hypervault's cons appear to be few and far between.

Alternatives Considered

1Password, NordPass Business and Keeper Security

Reasons for Choosing Hypervault

The primary reason driving our switch from NordPass to Hypervault was the lack of an organized and comprehensive structure for folder sharing in the former. This deficiency was a significant roadblock in our day-to-day operations, hindering seamless sharing of essential information among team members and clients.NordPass, although a well-recognized player in the field, fell short of meeting our specific requirements for a flexible and efficient folder sharing system. We found its structure for sharing folders to be rather limiting, leading to inefficiencies in our workflow. In contrast, Hypervault offers an intuitive and well-structured approach to folder sharing, allowing us to effectively organize and share sensitive information. This transition has significantly improved our operational efficiency, making Hypervault a preferable alternative to NordPass for our specific business needs.

Switched From

NordPass Business

Reasons for Switching to Hypervault

Our decision to select Hypervault over other competitors in the market was driven by several compelling factors. The tool presents a harmonious blend of flexibility, affordability, and user-friendly interface, making it stand out from the rest.Primarily, the 'Custom Template' feature was a game-changer, allowing us to create unique parameters to save items, thereby enhancing the tool's adaptability to meet our business's specific needs. This feature is not commonly offered by other password management solutions, and it immediately set Hypervault apart.Furthermore, Hypervault's pricing model is designed thoughtfully, not charging for view-only users or 'External Users.' This unique approach considerably reduces our expenses while maintaining optimal functionality and security. The user-friendly interface was another deciding factor. Hypervault's platform is intuitive and well-structured, facilitating even the least technologically inclined members on our team to use the tool with ease.Lastly, Hypervault’s ability to add bulk permissions via 'Teams' and its highly responsive customer service, demonstrated through their open approach to feature requests, gave us confidence in their commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.Hence, Hypervault’s mix of customizable features, cost-effectiveness, user-friendly interface, and responsive service led us to choose it over other available options in the market.

Flexible sensitive data storage and sharing

Reviewed on 2022/10/11

Pros

What makes Hypervault stand out I believe is the flexibility of how the data is stored. You don't only store passwords, you can store product keys, licence information and pretty much any other sensitive information you'd like to be able to share securely.

Add to that the fact that you can add custom fields and groups for every entry (so you can, for instance, store several users of the same server on the same entry) and a robust folder system and you end up with the most versatile tool I have tried in this space.

Cons

The chrome extension made to handle autofill has hiccups for me sometimes, not sure if it's because I use it in Edge which is meant to be compatible with Chrome extensions.

It logs me out pretty frequently and I find I have to log in twice to start using it again, once in the extension and once in my workspace within the same browser. Even so, it still fails to authenticate from time to time. So I find myself keeping the platform open in a browser tab to access the entries that I need instead.

Really Good Tools For IT Solutions Companies or Web / App Development Companies

Reviewed on 2022/10/11

Pros

Can Separate Each Set of Credentials into Folders For Each Client for better credentials management. It also easier and more secure to share only required client's credentials to the responsible group of programmers which can avoid them to see unneceesary credentials to lower security risk.

Cons

Sometime the Chrome autofill mess up with the password when editing the credential, hope the team can figure out solution for this some time later.

Team password sharing made easy

Reviewed on 2022/10/12

Pros

The product is well deigned and easy to use. It provides critical functionality to save, share and collaborate on the credentials used by my team

Cons

The product still misses some key features such as backing up or exporting passwords. We would have found that useful for the small number of times the Hypervault was down. Additionally, the whole UI could benefit from small improvements where it allows you to lose some windows or make them smaller.
