CoinPayments

About CoinPayments
CoinPayments is a cryptocurrency wallet designed to help businesses, merchants, and professionals process payments, purchase gift cards, exchange cryptocurrencies, send or receive coins, and more. It offers shopping cart plugins for various eCommerce platforms and allows users to create custom checkout buttons by selecting specific images to accept cryptocurrencies and donations from customers.
CoinPayments lets merchants generate invoices to request payments, display QR codes for customers to scan and pay balances, and use the point of sale (POS) interface to accept in-person transactions. Businesses can receive notifications about new payments and various transaction statuses including canceled, timed out, PayPal refund, reversal or pending, in Escrow, and completed, among others. The platform also supports several cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Velas, Apollo, Litecoin, Beam, Celo, DigitByte, Firo, Oxen, Ucacoin, Horizon, and more.
CoinPayments facilitates integration with Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and other third-party systems. It also offers mobile applications for Android and iOS devices, enabling merchants to store, send, receive and convert cryptocurrencies according to requirements.

Without the geo-restrictions in major crypto markets, CoinPayments would have been the best Crypto payment processor ever.
Pros
The great thing about CoinPayments is that it just works. Integrating CoinPayments into our project was easy. The documentation was clear enough. Besides, there are existing plugins to make the implementation even a lot smoother on some platforms.
In my experience, the customer support too is blazing fast.
Cons
CoinPayments is restricted in several countries, and this is the main problem we had. To even get it set up, I had to work with a partner in a supported country. I eventually had to move to BitPay.

Wrong protocol, how was i supposed to know?

this is what happened:
I tried to buy a product with cryptocurrency via coinpayments.
The payment page on the website specified clearly the requirements of the payment being "ethereum, erc20".
This let us think that we can send ethereum with a protocol matching erc20 standard.
I sent ethereum via Arbitrum protocol that matches erc20 standard.
And only after that coinpayments told me that they do not accept the specific Arbitrum protocol... Even if it is a very common way to send ethereum.
This does look like a scam as the private key they own allows them to access my funds on the arbitrum network as it is the same as the key for the native ethereum network. (It is a trivial action to access it)
So they can access my money and they tell me "you didn't send it the way we like, and we won't reimburse you unless you pay 0.02 ETH (60€)" even if they didn't specify clearly the way they like it in the first place.
I am very disappointed.
Pros
they try to make the cryptocurrencies useful.
Cons
they are unclear about the way they accept you to send your money
