Using tenfold for user access to network shares and recertification

Before tenfold, we had no automated way of performing a user rights recertification and the process...

Before tenfold, we had no automated way of performing a user rights recertification and the process would take weeks of passing emails and Excel files to our help desk. Now we have an automated process that only takes a few days to compete.

Pros

tenfold offered the best user access to network shares and recertification process for a reasonable price.

Cons

We're obviously one of the few US-based companies using tenfold and on occasion we do receive email, displays or web links thar are written in German.

Wir haben Tenfold schon seit ein paar Jahren im Einsatz und es wird stetig weiterentwickelt. Die Entwicklung der letzten Jahre hat uns besonders gefallen. Der Support reagiert schnell und ist immer hilfsbereit und hat in der Regel auch die richtige Antwort parat.

Pros

Das Verzeichnis-/Berechtigungsmanagement hat uns enorm Arbeit abgenommen. Da wir nach MS-bestpractise zu vor die Berechtigungen vorgenommen haben und dies nun alles durch den Dienst erledigt wird.Zusätzlich gibt es jetzt einheitliche Useranlagen und die Werte im AD Benutzer sind immer gepflegt. Durch unseren eigenen Onboardingprozess haben wir mehrere Zusatzfunktionen anbinden können.

Cons

An manchen Stellen könnte die Software etwas schneller sein. Leider kann man manchmal nicht in mehreren Tabs arbeiten.

8man war sehr auf Reporte aufgebaut und nicht auf Funktionalität. Zusätzlich war auch der Preis hier entscheidend und Tenfold hatte in allen Punkten uns positiv gestimmt.

die Reportingfunktion könnte noch etwas verbessert werden. Individuelle Reports wären wünschenswert

Tenfold ist im Verhältnis zu anderen Produkte Hersteller einfach zu bedienen. Bei anderen Produkten hätte man eine umfangreiche Schulung machen müssen. Das war hier nicht notwendig. Es ist eben auch nicht so überladen wie andere, aber es kommt stetig etwas Neues dazu. Tenfold entwickelt immer weiter in kleinen überschaubaren Schritten. Was offenbar den Vorteil mitbringt, dass selten Bug auftreten und die Software sehr gut und zuverlässig funktioniert. WEITER SO! Wir sind zufrieden!

Pros

Die Einfachheit heute eine AD-Konto mit allen notwendigen Berechtigungen innert ca. 1 Minute zu erstellen.
Active Directory User Lifecycle, Profile Verwaltung, automatische Info per E-Mail, Berichte, Ressourcen Verwaltung und vor allem das Import-Tool um Tenfold ans HR-System anzubinden... und noch vieles mehr!

Cons

Die fehlende Mehrfachmarkierung von Objekten für die Zuweisung von Ressourcen oder anderem. Tenfold ist leider immer wieder eine Klickorgie! Ebenfalls fehlt die Möglichkeit eine E-Mail Vorlage zu testen. Die Infomeldungen wie z.B. "gespeichert" kommt immer oben rechts wo meistens der Button für die nächste Aktion ist... das ist störend. Bei vielen Aktionen kann nicht einfach mal zwischengespeichert werden. Es muss gespeichert werden und dann wird man in das entsprechende Hauptmenü zurückgeworfen
