About Wamly
Hiring parties, such as HR departments and business owners, can set up blanket interview questions and applicant-specific questions using the recruitment software by Wamly. It records applicant responses to interview questions on a video feed and store the data online for the hiring party to review. Interview questions can have time limits, and checkpoints can also be set up using button-press questions. These can be used to end interviews early and filter or group candidates into specified categories.
There is a resume-viewing function that allows hiring parties to view video interviews side-by-side with resumes. The appraisal and tracking functions may also be used within the same tool, allowing interviewers to rate applicants while a recorded interview is in session. An email feature also allows for interview reminders, auto-reply email responses, and customized email branding.

Pros
Wamly saves our executive team valuable time! We are able to get through candidate screening more effective and efficiently.
Cons
The software is improving and evolving. The mobile experience was clunky in the past, but had a major refresh recently.

I'm really happy with this tool and I don't think I'll ever screen candidates again in future without using it.
Pros
I really like that I get a better sense of who these candidates are based on their video responses to questions. Before using Wamly I would think someone looked great (based on their CV) but in-person I would be disappointed. Wamly 100% solves this problem for me.
Cons
I would like to be able to stay on one question and cycle through answers from each candidate. I also think candidates need more help or training to record better video interviews, some of their recordings were really disappointing (even though this isn't a direct fault of Wamly).

The software is surprisingly easy to use.
Pros
This software enables me to review candidates at a time that is convenient to me during my busy schedule. I can for example half-way through a review, get interrupted by other work and later continue where I last left off. Something that was not possible with a live interview.
Cons
Not the software's fault, but unfortunately you need to structure your questions in such a way that the candidate would have no ambiguity about what you are asking because the candidate cannot ask a question back or confirm his/her understanding about the question/task.

Overall, I received great service from everyone at Wamly. I did have one problem. When my free trial expired, I had to select an option to continue. After looking at the packages available I could not negotiate the premium package with my boss. The other packages had limited features and were not going to meet my needs. I also found it difficult to get my candidates to do a video interview. A lot of them had issues being recorded and saw the platform as a last resort. "If all else fails, I will do a video". My clients were all aboard and loved the idea, but the lack of enthusiasm from candidates, made the project fail.
Pros
The platform was really easy to use. It is a great concept. It has a lot of potential and will be highly successful in internal recruitment.
Cons
The fact that candidates could not redo their videos. In an agency we are trying to sell our candidates to a client and therefor need them to be comfortable, relaxed and able to redo their video. Being recorded does not come naturally to everyone. Some great candidates would have lost out on opportunities, purely because they looked awkward on their video. It is a lot of management to continuously look at all the videos and reset the terrible ones, and then asking them to redo it. I would also like them to be able to watch their video at the end and be happy with their submission.

We try to keep the responses as authentic as possible and thus we do not allow candidates to redo their interviews (which is very much the same in a in-person interview where you would not be able to redo your answer) but we absolutely back that there is something to unpack regarding how we help set-up the candidates to win and feel comfortable with the one-way interview.
