About Harvest
Harvest is an online time and expense tracking tool for teams and projects of all sizes. Harvest harnesses the power of time tracking to help users answer critical questions about their team's time, project progress, and the health of the business. Plus, it turns billable time into invoices that make it easy to get paid online. Businesses can use Harvest to carry out time tracking, expense tracking, project management, billable hours tracking, task assignment, invoicing, scheduling, and more.
One of the biggest challenges with tracking time is getting team members to do it. The Harvest app - available for Mac, Windows, iPhone, and Android - makes time tracking easy for teams by letting them track time in the way that's easiest for them. Users can track time as they work - by starting a timer from their desktop, phone, or browser - or enter hours all at once, after they're done. Harvest even integrates with third party tools including Asana, Basecamp, and Trello - so that team members can track time from applications they already use.
Harvest also helps businesses put that timesheet data to work by turning it into intuitive, visual graphs that provide insight into teams and projects. Managers can see what each team member has worked on and what's taking up the most time. See project cost, how much time has been tracked to each project, how much budget is left, and how many billable hours have been worked. And when it's time to invoice clients, Harvest allows users to create an invoice right from the tracked time within the application. Email this data to each client and get paid online with the help of PayPal and Stripe integrations.
A monthly subscription to Harvest costs $12 USD/person/month (billed monthly) or $10.80 USD/person/month (billed annually). A free plan is available for single users. Discounts are available for nonprofit organizations and educational institutions.

I've tried numerous other invoicing tools but none compare to the stability, quality, and reliability of Harvest. For the money you just can't beat it.
Pros
Harvest makes it super easy to track time and expenses, invoice clients, and collect payments via Stripe or ACH.
Cons
Because it is such a stable piece of software, they are very slow to add new features, and certain areas of the user interface feel dated. That being said, it is rock solid, fast, and extremely reliable.
Reasons for Switching to Harvest
Harvest is dependable and has features that out-perform the competition in just about every aspect.

Daily and weekly resource allocation may be made much easier with the use of forecasting. Easy to use and easy to maintain. A daily or weekly timetable is available to everyone working on the project. Simple to use and simple to keep up to date.
Pros
It's simple to keep track of harvest time. Multiple projects and tasks can be created and assigned to various members of your team. It is possible to keep track of the time spent by each individual and compare it to the total number of hours allotted for the project.
Cons
An outdated and unfriendly user interface. That would be a great and eye-catching interface to view, in my opinion. As a result, it would be the same as receiving a service or conducting research!

Efficient time tracking that doesn't take much time out of your day and clear visibility on where you are spending your time.
Pros
The chrome extension makes this really easy to track the time you spend working on a particular client. With the click of a button you can select the client you are working on via a dropdown menu and you just hit 'start timer'. When you stop the timer you can also add in some extra details that are great when you're trying to report back on where your time has been spent.
When you log into the desktop version you can view week by week and day by day. You also have access to a dashboard which visually represents where you spent your time.
Cons
Sometimes you leave the timer running - it's really easy to forget that it's running in the background. You don't get a notification until the next morning and so I often have to log back in to correct my time logged.

Overall experience was excellent, and the steps involved in the setup were very easy. One of its best features is the easy integration with third-party apps like google workspace, google calendar, slack, asana, PayPal, and much more. This is a perfect solution for freelancers, or people who want to track deadlines.
Pros
I like the most that the UI of their software is very simple and intuitive to use. I actively used this software for managing deadlines and managing time to understand how much time is needed for a feature, or task. Some of the tasks that I tracked were like creating a new landing page, creating a portfolio, implementing mobile-friendly UI, etc.Freelancers can also use this tool to keep track of their time, and this software also helps us in generating invoices and track payments.Additionally, it can be integrated with widely used apps like asana, GitHub, slack, Trello, and even payment gateways like Paypal. Excellent software.
Cons
I did not identify any cons so far. It is a very easy-to-use app and provides very good value.

We started using Harvest years ago with my previous company and it was our go-to solution with our new company. No questions asked. It just works and that is why I would recommend it to everyone looking for a simple solution.
Pros
It just works. Creating an offer, turning it into an invoice, setting everything up... it just works easy. In contrast with many software you can use for invoicing, Harvest doesn't try to do it all, it just keeps things simple. Probably too simple at times, but I never ran into any issues as we have straightforward product & services lines to add to our invoices.
Cons
The fact that the time tracking is included and cannot be ignored as easily as the optional planning tool (that they sell separately) was a small frustration at first. Afterwards, I just tended to directly surf to the Invoices overview and avoid the timetracking part all together.
For some it is probably thé selling feature as time tracking looks very easy, but our company doens't keep track of detailed time tracking so we never used that part thoroughly.

TeamleaderReasons for Switching to Harvest
We tested teamleader, but it was too featureful. Interesting as it could have been, we didn't want to switch our complete workflow to match that of Teamleader so we continued looking for a tool that was good at invoicing. Period. Harvest was that tool.Harvest FAQs
