I tested Adobe PP as a potential video editing software. I create video content for social media (YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook), websites, and e-courses. I also occasionally will edit videos for clients.
Pros
What I love about Adobe Premiere Pro is the absolute control the user has over the software. This, of course, is completely determined by the users skill level. For a novice, PP will feel like an absolute roadblock, but for a seasoned pro will find comfort in having endless tools at their disposal. The color grading, in particular, is a stellar feature amongst entry level video editing softwares. Another pro is the seamless integration with other Adobe apps
Cons
I absolutely hate the User interface and user experience. This software looks and feels complicated and I get a headache just looking at it. When I was deciding between this and Final Cut Pro, one of the major factors in my decision to stay with FCP was that the interface is clean, simple and even beautiful. PP's is complicated, bulky and anything but beautiful. I'd go as far as to call it ugly. It feels discouraging and impossible to figure out when looking at it. The other side of having so many tools at your disposal is that it's complicated to find what you need because there are so many.

I use Adobe Premiere Pro to create all of my company's product demo videos that are shared on the website and in promotional/sales materials. It's an essential program in my marketing toolbox, and I'd feel far less confident without it. There are some great free/cheap tools that provide lots of pre-made templates, but if you want the full customizability to create exactly what you want, Adobe Premiere Pro is the way to go.
Pros
Adobe Premiere Pro is a gold standard in professional video editing software. I like how well it integrates with other native Adobe CC programs so that I can drag and drop in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Audition content. This makes it incredibly easy to maintain formatting, layers, etc.
Cons
This is a little annoyance because as a whole the program is excellent - I can't understand why there aren't two specific features: 1. Why can you not drag a rectangular mask? You have to manually grab each corner point and try to get the lines level, often having to resort to dragging guides onto the frame. 2. Why isn't there an easy option to round the corners of a video frame? I often use smaller videos within the larger frame, and to soften the edges, I need to use a mask and expand. There really ought to be an easier rounding tool.
