Amelia is a cloud-based appointment scheduling platform, which helps businesses in healthcare, wellness, cosmetics, consulting, real estate, automotive, and other sectors manage customer bookings, process payments, reschedule appointments, and categorize services. It provides several functionality including SMS notifications, calendar synchronization, reporting, GDPR compliance, webhooks, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Amelia offers an administrative dashboard, which allows organizations to view approved appointments, calculate collected revenue, track returning customers, and analyze sales conversions. It offers a customizable design module, which lets managers personalize business websites using multiple color options, custom fonts, background gradients, booking forms, and language translations. Retailers can also upload photo galleries on the website and configure currency format according to their country.

The solution assists administrators with creating customer accounts, granting or revoking user permissions, importing client data, and managing staff attendance. Amelia facilitates integration with various third-party platforms, such as WooCommerce, Mollie Payments, Google Calendar, Zoom, Outlook Calendar, Google Meet, MyCred, Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, BuddyBoss, Lessonspace, and Divi.

Amelia - The beautiful and easy interface for online appointment booking

I've not been using Amelia for very long, but I'm happier with it than my previous booking...

I've not been using Amelia for very long, but I'm happier with it than my previous booking solution, primarily because the interface is more attractive, and because I can integrate with Zoom. I also like that it's a one-time payment with no additional cost for use. In the first few bookings, it had already paid for itself.

Pros

I like the beautiful interface that is customisable so it has the same colours as the rest of my website. I love the Google calendar integration and Zoom integration. Those are musts in my line of work, and they save me a lot of time.

Cons

I wish the appointments would show up on my Google calendar and Zoom meetings list with the name of the customer who booked the appointment. I like to look at my appointments at a glance and know who I'm meeting. It's a bit of a pain to have to go into the calendar and add them myself.

I also wish that it was possible to have the same employee with more than one location assigned them. I work by phone, Zoom and at my downtown office location, and I had one client who booked me for a Zoom session say she found it confusing that my office was listed for location when she received her booking.

I had to modify my location to include all three as possibilities, which just isn't a very clean approach. When we book our clients, we want everything to be crystal clear with no possibility for confusion. Amelia should bear in mind that in some cases, such as salons or yoga studios for example, their employees might float between more than one location, so this feature would be useful to a number of businesses.

I have been using the Amelia plugin on a number of websites for over 2 years and I'm very happy with its functionality and all the great features. Also, the Amelia support guys are always very helpful and super friendly. I highly recommend Amelia.

Pros

It's so flexible that you can build an online booking system for practically any business that requires one.

Cons

Truly can't think of anything that I would like least.

Not a Very Good Design, and a Flawed System - needs better employee management

Pros

Cool that it has employee management features, and WooCommerce integration

Cons

1. Theme styling = you simply need to create styling that mirrors the WordPress theme, instead of forcing uncomfortable and mismatched styling on your users that is not white-label, or "on brand".

2. Employees need to be able to simply and effectively choose their hours from the front end using a simple timeslot/clicking functionality. They need to be able to "open/close" blocks or slots, simply by clicking. This is how you keep your service providers/employees happy. They should not have to enter these manually, with complicated systems for choosing the available time. It does not work for tutors or freelancers. These people need to manually open and close their availability as and when the time arises, and as they're needs change.

3. BuddyBoss integration is a great step in the right direction, but it needs work.

Amelia is one of my favourite plugins because:

1. Easy to install and use.
2. Reliable and professional quality.
3. Full of great features - better than any others I have used.
4. Great layout, versatile and works seamless with clients
5. It is always updated and improved.
6. Support help and communication is fast, friendly and excellent.
7. Not just a flash in the pan. It has been a around for a long time.

Cons

Nothing I can think of or have had to be concerned with.

Pros

I found Amelia to be highly customizable so I could easily set it up to work with my use cases. It was also easy to integrate it into my website, and I was easily able to customize its colors to match the look and feel of my website.

Cons

I wish it had iCal integration since that is what the consultants in my company use to manage their individual calendars.
