About TurboRater
TurboRater is a quoting solution for insurance brokers that allows users to quote multiple carriers through a comparative rater. The software analyzes carriers based on the coverage required, and automatically applies underwriting rules to provide instant accurate quotes.
By removing the need to manually enter data into multiple carrier websites, TurboRater decreases the opportunity for errors in the quoting process in addition to saving users time. More than 225 carriers are available through the platform, with coverage for auto, motorcycle, homeowners, renters, condominium, dwelling, and fire policies. The built-in underwriting rules enable the flagging of unacceptable risks or quotes requiring prior approval. TurboWriter also provides quote reports to give insight into most quoted companies, plus closing ratios by location or producer.

Best choice of rater for my agency

For the last 15 years+ I have used a competitor rater when I was introduced to Turborater, I like that its all on 1 single page and user friendly and I can customize to fit our needs. I actually left the rater and management system for about a month or 2 biggest mistake, I am so glad they took me back.
Pros
I like that everything is in 1 single page, as opposed to other Softwares I have used having to continue and save to move on to the next tab.....Easy to find clients.
Cons
Price, I have it bundled with my agency management.....I would like the price to cater to my small agency.
I would like to see a more accurate violation to choose from.

Have used the TurboRater for over 20 years. So many improvements have been made since the first time I used the product. Service has always been good.
Pros
Rating system has many options and features. Post Office data base helps addresses be accurate.
Cons
Sometimes it is not always accurate. Companies don't seem to be consistent in their rating requirements and what they will insure. The note option is only accessible on the first page if you want to edit. Can't change the effective date unless you go back to the first screen or two screens back from the rating page. Would be nice if you could copy a quote to make changes but not change the original quote.

IT WAS NOT TO HARD TO GET USE TO USING IT

NOT ABLE TO TRANSFER ATTACHMENTS FROM ONE FILE TO THE RENEWAL QUOTE. THIS IS VERY TIME CONSUMING AND INEFFECTIVE TO HAVE TO SAVE EACH DOC AGAIN TO DOWNLOAD INTO THE RENEWAL QUOTE. WE HAVE TALKED TO AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE TO SEE IF THIS CAN BE DONE AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WILL BE LOOKED INTO BUT NOTHING DONE YET. ALSO THERE IS NO PLACE IN ACCUAGENCY TO PUT IF THE INSURED IS A HOMEOWNER, WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL WE TRANSFER TO TURBO RATER.

It's been a good product - we've been using it for a long long time. I actually have nothing to compare it to, as we've never used another comparative rater!
Pros
TurboRater has companies that weren't available with other comparative raters. We do a lot of non-standard auto so they've been good with those carriers.
It's pretty simple to get thru.
Cons
I wish there was more functionality to work between this product and my agency management system. We have some... but I wish there were more.
Overall it works well. There are some glitches in when it shows if credit was run, but once you learn what they are you get used to it.

Pros
The product is easy to use and after several years of using ITC we are comfortable with it
Cons
We still have to bridge to the company's to get the right price due to POS and the rates for the most part are wrong until POS is ran.
