The ability to customize messages with merge fields. Ability to put a face to the name of scholarship recipients to their donors really connects alums to campus and helps donors feel great about the impact they are having on their individual students. Our best campaign is our ongoing happy birthday message that is sent out daily on alums actualy birthdays. This is better than sending messages in the month of their birthdays, the actual day. we have great open rates on this extremely personalized message. > > **Cons**: We have yet to connect Raiser's Edge and Thankview in an easy to upload manner. We have to modify our excel spreadsheets to fit the system for ease of use. I am hopeful once we try using RE NXT that it will become even easier. I would like the ability to text people because emails often go unread or unwatched. I think texting videos to peoples phone AND emailing them would significantly increase open rates. I love the ability to create custom landing pages with different imagery depending on the focus of the video. I also appreciate how easy it is to use a single video to send personalized communication to many people. Even if we don't say an individual's name in the video itself, the ability to include their name in the email and on the landing page makes it feel truly personalized. I also love that we can have users record videos directly in the ThankView system, which makes it easy to add them to landing pages. > > **Cons**: I find the system very intuitive on the whole. I did experience a small learning curve in understanding where within the system I can create branded landing pages and envelopes outside of creating them within a campaign, but that was easy to overcome. > > We wanted to increase the amount of personalized stewardship that our team sends without increasing the number of staff.
