Inuvika OVD Enterprise

About Inuvika OVD Enterprise
Inuvika OVD is an enterprise digital workspace software platform and an alternative to traditional VDI or virtual apps and desktop products like Citrix or VMware Horizon (now Omnissa). With hybrid work environments now the norm, Inuvika OVD Enterprise gives users secure access to their Windows and Linux apps from anywhere on any device.
Built on Linux, with our resource containerization technology, our product allows data centers to run more efficiently, using less infrastructure capacity and reducing costs by as much as 60%. Subscriptions are sold on a concurrent user basis, providing significant savings to companies or organizations with multiple shifts or part-time users.
The Linux foundation allows OVD Enterprise to eliminate most Windows server license requirements, including Microsoft SQL server licenses. OVD can be installed on premises, in the cloud or in a hybrid environment. With the move to public cloud and consumption-based computing, the controls that are built into our product can reduce consumption dramatically.
Inuvika embraces zero-trust principles, widening usability for BYOD. It eliminates complexity for admin, and provides a better user experience for the end user.
Product features include:
Multi-factor Authentication
Premium USB redirection for any device including web cameras
Multi-monitor for up to 16 screens
Resource Container that limits RAM and CPU usage by user or group
Manage servers, users and applications from a single, easy to use, Web-based Administration console.
OVD Enterprise Secure Gateway (ESG) provides secure access to remote users on any device or HTML5 browser.
Integrates with Microsoft Active Directory, or any LDAP-compliant directory service. Fully compatible with Active Directory Domain Forests
Works with any hypervisor, including Proxmox, vSphere, Citrix XenServer, MS Hyper-V, KVM, and Nutanix AHV.

Inuvika, allows a business to deliver critical applications to users from the cloud to a provide a fast and secure virtual digital workspace experience for users. It is easy to deploy and manage and half the cost of similar solutions. This is the best solution I have seen in years.

Our major win was relaying less on supplying company laptops for remote work, people could use their own personal devices at home, and in emergencies, they could technically access tools from a friends computer if they had to.
Pros
We mostly used the software to allow user population to connect to the corporate network from anywhere they had access to a computer. it was safe and secure, and the performance was great.
Cons
None really, possibly some of the initial implementation tasks but these are very well documented so the learning curve was low.

From pilot to production, the solution delivered what was promised and well adopted to end user community.
Pros
Application delivery works seamlessly on multiple end user devices with excellent performance for end users. Ease of maintenance and enhanced features meet the needs of our users. Cost model compared to other solutions that delivery same type of features and robustness was at lease 2x from infrastructure to licensing.
Cons
Initial integration to LDAP domains was a bit "tricky" compared to other solutions, but was able to work within product to iron things out well.
