About VM Explorer

VM Explorer is a VM backup software that allows users to backup and replicate virtual servers, data centers, and clusters on all operating systems supported by VMware ESX/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V servers. It allows for the recovery of VM data directly from data backups, even at the file level and enables rapid restore of single files and folders directly from any VM backup.

VM Explorer also automatically backs up critical data, encryption, and active directory integration with no disruptions to production. The software also allows users to manage the health and status of all scheduled data backup tasks through a single dashboard.

Pros

Supports Differential Backups, supports HA environments, supports backup to local storage, supports multi-step job definitions, supports custom job creation. Very simple to learn and use

Cons

No backup to SAN -- backup to UNC only.
Backup to UNC (or local disk) is not as fast as backup to SAN (obviously!!)
Wizard based backup has too many questions

Easy handling, very interactive and with a good help manual, It allows the user to move quickly in the application

Cons

It has a very high crust !!, that does not do anything attractive, should improve the graphic interface

It is a good alternative to make data backup.

It is a good alternative to make data backup.

Pros

Excellent application to make data backup, ideal to be used in physical servers and easy to use, does not require advanced knowledge.

Cons

The graphical interface is not very user friendly, it requires more functionalities to make this software, a more complete software.
