About SignMaster

SignMaster is a standalone software for designing and making signs, T-shirts, lettering, pinstripes, logos, decals and even cutting out card to make boxes and a variety of other designs, all using a vinyl cutter.

The software comes in 5 levels from Basic, for simple design and vinyl cutting, all the way through to Architect (ART), which is full-featured graphics software - packed with design, layout and cutting features.

Quick and Easy to learn. If you’ve ever used any design software, the user interface is extremely easy to understand .

Pros

After having used a variety of design programs over 20 Years. I needed to use a couple programs at once sometimes to achieve what it was I was trying to do. With Signmaster I can edit images, I can crop those images, I can punch out or stamp those images for precise sizes, I can tile images and I can vectorize images. I don’t know of any other program that can do all those things together.

Cons

It would be nice to have more interactive cutting options. Eg. Turning off certain cut colours and when tiling larger items being able to slide the panel box to where it can start and end so I’m not wasting material on white space. Maybe it already has that feature ? I can’t seem to access any information on it.

Great Software - Signmaster is easy to use - with high quality results in short time

The first projects like shirts, caps and hoodies I only made for myself.

The first projects like shirts, caps and hoodies I only made for myself.
Then I started making these things for family and friends.
Now I am using Signmaster not only for making patches for clothes, I use it to design, cut or print my ideas on different materials to make art on several surfaces.
And I am one step away from starting my own business.
I only have love and thumps up for this software (:

Pros

Software is easy to understand and easy to use.
You get really good results very quickly which helps to keep on doing.
The outline and cut-contour modules are my favorites!

Cons

Sometimes the "undo" button does not work when flipping or mirroring objects.

Great experience and thats why i havent stopped upgrading since then! I got the software together with cuyi and i upgaded from basic 3.5 to pro 3.5 and did another upgrade to v5.0

Pros

Signmaster is very versatile especially with multiple brands of plotters and alsp pffers convenience in fulfilling client needs! With the right machine, it offers stellar performance that makes cutting projects efficiently.

Cons

Theres a bug that hasnt been resolved until now. When selecting and deleting txt characters through ctrl-a, once you type, the letters are duplicated. Also, signmaster software is somewhat tied with the machine it came with, so its a pain to change machine brands and retain the upgrades specifically if you have already invested a lot. How i wish installing specific machine drivers would be within reach.

I am not a daily user, but when I need this software to create and cut my stuff, I really find it handy and so far, after a few years, haven't had any issues with it.

Pros

I like the ease of use and the features in it.

Cons

Not sure if there's anything I would change in it so far to be honest.

Easy for anyone to Master

I've been using Sign Master since 2019 when my old plotter failed and was too expensive to repair....

I've been using Sign Master since 2019 when my old plotter failed and was too expensive to repair. At first, I was a little apprehensive to try a plotter that came with software. Well Sign Master proved me wrong It is not only very simple to master its very user friendly. I have several employees (interns) that know almost nothing about signs and graphics. They picked up on this program and have been able to take on designing for clients which frees me up for other projects.

Pros

Simple and easy to use, even interns can figure it out quickly.

Cons

The vectorization feature could do a better job, especially with lettering. The imaging part is pretty good.
