About Troi

Troi is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) project management solution designed for management consulting, architectural, and production companies. With built-in individual project dashboards, managers can streamline business processes such as resource planning, offer creation, project planning, task, and liquidity management.

Troi helps calculate project profitability through template-based project workflow, standardized price lists, and automated quotation designs. Organizations can plan resources based on team utilization, view current employee workload, and track project tasks. It also offers an evaluation module that enables administrators to track real-time tasks' progress and expenses across projects.

Troi uses an application programming interface (API) that allows organizations to integrate the platform with third-party applications such as Microsoft Exchange, CalDAV, cardDAV, Power BI, Asana, and more. Agencies can also use Android and iOS mobile applications to facilitate time tracking, automatic check-ins, and other operations.

User-friendly, well-structured tool with excellent project calculation

Pros

We have a 3D agency for VR and 3D content. We needed a software that could manage multiple projects and clients and provide good project costing.
We were impressed by Troi's features.
- Flexibility: Troi manages everything from project management to client communication. I can create, assign, track and communicate tasks - all on one platform.
- Simple interface: The tasks are easy to navigate. Troi has a user-friendly interface that allows me to filter, reorder and change tasks.
- Smart project costing: Troi helps us plan better by providing accurate estimates of time, budget and resources. It also tracks the actual time spent and alerts me to problems or risks. We have not found this in any other tool we have tested!

To summarize, Troi makes our work more efficient and saves us a lot of time.

Cons

The initial implementation is a little more time-consuming than an out-of-the-box tool and it takes a little time to train the employees. However, our specific requirements were taken into account and so the project setup, calculation and workflow run the way we work.

Cumbersome

Pros

Nice design, nice packaging, (too) many functions

Cons

We struggled with it for almost seven years and lost a lot of time and money. Usability is cumbersome and technocratic instead of user-friendly. The exit/change was a big relief for us.

Pros

TROI unterstützt uns optimal, die Übersicht zu behalten und unsere Agentur sinnvoll und effizient zu steuern. Besonders die neue Projektübersicht ist ideal, um den Überblick zu behalten.

Cons

TROI ist noch nicht wirklich responsive und an manchen Stellen (in den noch nicht aktualisierten Modulen) manchmal in der Bedienung etwas "gewöhnungsbedürftig" – man muss einmal geschult werden, wo man klicken muss ;-)

Das user interface ist sehr ansprechend, minimal und überschaubar. Man hat alles im Blick.

Cons

Die Formularvordrucke, die man zur Verfügung gestellt bekommt, sind einander sehr ähnlich.

Pros

TROI ist auf dem überschaubaren Markt von Agentur Software einen Anbieter mit einem recht modernen Produkt.

Cons

Sehr kritisch ist der ganze Bereich Onboarding und laufende Support. Der Kern des Problems liegt darin, dass das Unternehmen den Kunden Support auf einen externen Dienstleister (Agentur) übertragen hat. Und dieser Dienstleister nun permanent versucht, Beratungsaufträge zu schreiben. Da ein Beratungsstunde mit 180 € abgerechnet wird, ist dies schon fast prohibitiv und sollte jeden potentiellen Entscheider nachdenklich werden lassen.
Leider ist auch die Dokumentation nicht wirklich gelungen (viel Text, wenig Video). Und wenn dann Hilfe gesucht wird, dann wird fast immer auf den kostenpflichtigen Beratungsservice verwiesen.
