CourtLink

About CourtLink
CourtLink is a cloud-based docketing solution that helps law firms search and receive alerts of court dockets. It provides access to various court dockets and documents from state and federal courts, covering both civil and criminal matters. CourtLink enables users to set up alerts and tracking systems for specific cases, parties, areas of law, or jurisdictions. These alerts help attorneys identify litigation risks and opportunities at an early stage. Additionally, CourtLink provides access to a range of court documents such as briefs, pleadings, and motions. These documents can be used to inform case strategy and document drafting. CourtLink also allows users to gather intelligence on companies, individuals, judges, and lawyers by reviewing their previous litigation history and performance.

This product makes more possible than I had ever imagined. Indeed, there may be no better tool for preparing for trial. Knowing your competition is the key to victory, and CourtLink makes this possible and easier than ever before.
Pros
This software is very helpful in keeping case information up-to-date. CourtLink allows users to receive updates when a court case has activity. As well, court cases can easily be filtered down to find the most relevant results. At the same time, CourtLink can be used to research opposing counsel, judges, and expert witnesses.
Cons
Searches can come back with repetitive results, which can be frustrating. Aside from that, there aren't too many downsides to this product.

A Good Tool to Assist with Prospecting

Overall, it is a good program, just the cost was a deterrent.
Overall, it is a good program, just the cost was a deterrent.
Pros
By far, CourtLink is much more sophisticated than other court document search programs. More specifically, you have the option of searching for prospective leads and cases filed at both the federal and state levels. You can also set up daily alerts for new cases filed with key search terms.
Cons
The price of one user subscription is pretty steep ranging $5,000+ for an annual subscription. This was the main reason we did not proceed with the software.

Amazing resource for case tracking
Reviewed on 2019/09/11
Pros
It’s pretty easy to use, and has access to a lot of state courts (including a few that you can’t get on Bloomberg Law)
Cons
There was an outage with Minnesota state courts that went on for MONTHS which made it difficult for our team to track important cases relevant to ours.
