It offers a file locking feature that uses a kernel-level driver to hide and lock files, folders, and drives.

It's been fairly reliable for the time I've had it, but I do wish cloud and transfer options were improved.
Pros
I like that it truly locks content, so if my phone were to get lost, even if I had it open in an android "tab", the second the screen closes or another tab opens, you have to relog in. I feel safe with it.
Cons
Twice the cloud backup has failed me. It doesn't automatically do cloud backup, must be manual. So I lost some content 2x with 2 phones that crapped out. Transferring between phones is a joke as well.

I use Folder Lock for personal file security, and so far it seems to perform well. Again, I say this with the qualifications noted regarding Folder Lock and Windows 10 and NTFS.
Pros
I used to think that Folder Lock was the ultimate solution to file security, until receiving this message:
'Since Windows 10 does not support opening NTFS Lockers correctly, we recommend that you open these Lockers in Windows 7, or in other older versions and move out your data and keep them in Backup-able (FAT32) Lockers.' [my own grammatical corrections]
However, I have never had trouble opening Lockers in NTFS, never having created a Locker in any other file system (to my knowledge). Not only that, but an NTFS Locker can be backed up simply by copying the fklb folder.
So, I don't know whether Folder Lock is reliable for my purposes or not. So far, no problem, but the message about Windows 10 and NTFS is not encouraging.
Cons
The uncertainty raised by the message about Windows 10 and NTFS. If it is true that Windows 10 and/or NTFS do not correctly open Lockers, then Folder Lock is virtually useless, given the limitations on file size in FAT32. Since Windows 7 will soon be unsupported by Microsoft, what older usable versions did Folder Lock have in mind?

Worried about Privacy of your document and files?

Pros
The ease of use and of setting up the software. It became part of my daily routine in keeping my files and documents safe and complying with the new EU privacy regulations. Take my word. Use it!
Cons
This is not a Con but more a recommendation. Allow one more device with the same license. It would be great if I could also have it on my mobile device sync.

The best part of this software is the ease of use. This is my very first locking software and I could use it without much effort right from the get go. Selecting which folders to lock, toggling the lock as and when required , installation, un-installation and re-installation all are a breeze. Could do everything without having to resort to guides. And above all it does what it's supposed to do - lock folders. I keep all my PII locked all the time.
Pros
Ease of use. Does an awesome job of locking folders without much effort.
Cons
I did not find any unappealing features in thia software. It does what it claims to do and so am happy.
