Remote and hybrid work offer flexibility, but often at the cost of the spontaneous conversations and everyday connections that make working together feel natural. BeZoned brings back the visibility, collaboration, and sense of togetherness of a physical office – all within Microsoft Teams.

With BeZoned, colleagues share an online office where they can see who's around, know who's available, and talk naturally. A small Sidebar stays visible while employees work in Word, Excel, Outlook, or other applications, showing teammates at their shared table and who's speaking. Need a quick answer? Simply click the microphone and start talking. Everyone at the table can hear and join the conversation, except colleagues with Do Not Disturb status. No calls to arrange, invitations to send, or chat replies to wait for.

BeZoned also helps colleagues understand when to connect and when to respect someone's focus time. Availability can update automatically as employees move between tables and rooms, such as switching from Available at a Team Table to Do Not Disturb at a Focus Table. BeZoned also works with availability information from Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

When a quick conversation needs more time, colleagues can enter a meeting room and start a Microsoft Teams meeting for screen sharing, document reviews, or brainstorming. Social spaces encourage coffee breaks and informal conversations that strengthen relationships and team spirit.

Built on Microsoft Teams, BeZoned extends the Microsoft 365 environment organizations already use, without requiring migration to another communication platform. Unlike game-like virtual office solutions, employees don't need to navigate avatars or spend their day in a separate virtual world. > **Pros**: It was easy to setup, and when working from home it easier to get a hold of my colleagues. We are using tables to discuss specific topics during the day, which has been helpful.

> **Cons**: When opening BeZoned in Teams for Mac, the loading time could be a bit faster, but it's nothing big.

We are a little work group of 4 members on different geographical locations, who have started using BeZoned - and what a change\! It does feel like sharing a physical office. No more checking calendars or worrying about disturbing someone before making a call.

In BeZoned, it is easy to see if a colleague is available or needs focus. That ease of contact allowed us to simply "lean over the desk" and pitch ideas to one another, completely forgetting the physical distance. It has truly strengthened both our work and our personal relationships.
