About Citation Canada
Citation Canada, formerly HRdownloads, has a human resources management software designed to help businesses create and distribute customizable HR policy manuals, job descriptions, template-based surveys, and employee training documents across the organization. Our Atlas platform lets recruiters onboard employees, send an individual or a bundle of training assignments, and store information about staff in a centralized repository.
Using a Policy Manual Wizard, HR representatives can create policy manuals on various subjects, such as compensation and benefits, performance management, workplace safety, human rights, and more. The Atlas platform allows hiring managers to include brand-specific documents in manuals, edit content across predefined templates, and compare the new legislation and updates to existing policies. The platform also offers monthly curated content on the latest industry trends and provides access to policies, templates, forms, checklists, topic-specific videos through a unified portal.
The platform also has a job description generator, which creates template-based or fully customizable job descriptions, postings, and interview questions in compliance with business standards. Internal teams can build out surveys on employee engagement, onboarding, offboarding, health and safety, customer satisfaction, and more.

Pros
The available templates that we can use anytime. Those templates save a lot of time and research.
Cons
Maybe the integration part? We cant integrate the HRdownloads to the EDM tool that we are currently using.

Since [sensitive content hidden] took over as my account rep, I feel he has been very responsive and I understand the menu of options available to our company far better than I ever have before.
Pros
The Live HR advice is always appreciated and top notch. The advisors are quick to respond and knowledgeable in their fields. I have yet to stump them! I also appreciate the template documents and letters that I have used.
Cons
I wish that the training offered was more extensive. It is very HR specific and thus we cannot use it for our industry, as it only applies to a very small department.

price and easy access to Live Advice was why we chose, however we do use the training centre part of HR Performance ProResponse from Citation Canada

I have worked with Citation Canada/HR Downloads for over 10 years. Their friendly and helpful HR Directors offer sound advice, are willing to guide you through processes and support any documentation you require. They are what make Citation Canada an amazing tool.
Cons
Pricing seems to continue going up. Updates to policies, should be an auto update instead of having to click into each one and download
