About Stripe
Stripe is an online payment processing tool for internet businesses. Whether managing a subscription service, an on-demand marketplace, an e-commerce store, or a crowdfunding platform, Stripe’s meticulously designed APIs and functionality help users create the best possible product for their users.
Stripe allows users to bill customers on a recurring basis, set up a marketplace, or simply accept payments using its fully integrated, global payments platform. Developers are able to rapidly build production-ready integrations with modern tools, from React components to real-time webhooks. Using Stripe’s developer platform means less maintenance for legacy systems and more focus on core customer and product experiences.
Organizations can accept all major debit and credit card payments in 135+ currencies. If needed, enable 3D Secure for any payment. Stripe supports more than just cards using global payment methods, which can be activated from the dashboard including ACH credit transfers, Alipay, Bancontact, Giropay, and more.
Stripe’s elegant abstractions simplify adding or changing billing models, including a powerful interface to test and roll out new pricing easily. Users can bill customers with one-off invoices or automatically on a recurring basis. Go global with support for different payment methods. The Stripe billing API is easy to integrate into existing websites, mobile apps, or even CRM systems. Developers can use out-of-the-box functionality to get started quickly or use our composable API building blocks to design fully customized subscription logic and pricing models.
Users can create and manage subscriptions and invoices—and view detailed financial reports—directly from the dashboard. Stripe doesn’t limit the number of team members that can be added and supports granular roles and permissions to help manage access.
Connect, Stripe's routing and payout engine, will automatically track balances, batch earnings into payouts, time transfers with local cutoffs, and retry failed transfers. Users can also incorporate advanced flows like account debits, one-to-many payments, and others. Connect’s payout engine lets users specify payout timing for users, and includes instant payouts, which allows users to receive funds within minutes. Connect helps get recipients paid faster and removes errors and reconciliation work.

Very positive. Great alternative for start up businesses, or online businesses that can save a lot of time.
Pros
So you can use Stripe with invoicing and subscription software or you can build out your own system if you are a geek that is PCI compliant fairly easily. Almost everything has an integration option and if you get stuck with a problem for whatever reason you can log into the dashboard and usually figure it out from there, if you can't they have great support documentation and even a chat option. Compared to similar competitors you even save a little bit. I especially like their ACH fees, some of the lowest I've seen.
An added bonus is that I don't have to pay for monthly statement fees or pay the annual PCI compliance fee and surveys because they add that into the flat rate.
Cons
Only thing I'd like to see is an option to download statements in a PDF format like previous merchant processing providers, but rarely do I need it.

PayPalReasons for Choosing Stripe
Sage had a hard time integrating with things I needed, plus their interface was a bit more complex than Stripe. I first started with Stripe as a test with a few customers then made the switch within a few months.Reasons for Switching to Stripe

Easy Payment Processing: A Comprehensive Review of the Stripe App

Overall, I had an excellent time working with Stripe to handle payments. One of Stripe's best features was its simple to use interface, which made it simple to set up and explore. Furthermore, Stripe's API was quite configurable, allowing me to easily incorporate it into my current systems.
Pros
User-friendly UI: Stripe offers a sleek and simple user experience that makes managing payments, subscriptions, and customers simple for users. The dashboard gives you a brief rundown of the transactions, balances, and account activities. It is well-organized.Payment choices that are extensive and adaptable: Stripe accepts a variety of payment alternatives, including credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and others. It also offers a variety of subscription levels to suit different company needs and lets consumers customise their checkout experience.Processing payments quickly: Stripe's method for handling payments is intended to be quick, dependable, and secure. To safeguard against fraudulent transactions, it makes use of cutting-edge fraud detection and prevention systems. It also offers automatic card updates so that customers always have access to the most recent payment information.
Cons
Restricted availability in some nations: As Stripe's availability depends on the nation in which it is used, some companies might not be able to utilise Stripe as their payment processor. Businesses who operate in areas where Stripe is not supported may find this to be a disadvantage because they will need to look for an alternative payment processor that is accessible in their area.Complicated cost structure: For new customers who are not experienced with payment processing, Stripe's price structure might be perplexing. This is due to the fact that the fees are calculated depending on a number of variables, including the country of operation, the chosen mode of payment, and the quantity of transactions.

It's great right up until you have match up any payment to an order, then it was a disaster. For some reason though, the programming team is in love with this software, probably because it was made by programmers for programmers, and they just give the accountants the proverbial middle finger. If any Controllers are deciding on a credit card processor, do your self a favor and don't even consider this one.
Pros
Everyone except the accounting team seems to like it.
Cons
I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain they are the only payment processor that takes their processing fee out of every transaction individually. Then they combine all these partial payment amounts and deposit them all at once into your bank account. This makes for an accounting nightmare. What was once a simple 5 min reconciliation, turns into a multi-day confusing and laborious task. They don't integrate with ANY accounting software well. What I ended up doing was creating a separate Stripe "Cash" account for transactions coming in, then booking the fees into the account, then transfer the batch back into the standard bank account. What was once a process of just identifying the method of payment and reconciling to your bank account, now involves two additional transactions, and extra account and a confusing reconciliation. Of course, when choosing a payment processor, you want to choose a

We can take payments via debit and credit with no worry. As a small business owner, I seem to run into little issues with so many softwares- Stripe is not one of them.
Pros
This software integrates with many other softwares out there. I have never had an issue with payments, fees, breaches, or disputes. Fees are consistent. Website is easily accessible.
Cons
I'm not a big fan of the desktop website layout. I feel that there is too much going happening on one page.

Excellent tool whose main function is to serve as an intermediary between buyer and seller, in such a way that the buyer can receive his payments without accessing the buyer's bank details, allowing the successful implementation of the payment system in a simple way and thus guaranteeing all clients the security in the transaction, through which you can connect your website with a bank account facilitating payments on the internet
Pros
I like this tool since it is the most recent payment system in the free market through which you can connect to your website with a bank account. It is an excellent payment method with the sole objective of facilitating payments on the Internet, the difference with other payment platforms, the payment will always be made within the same website without redirecting it to any external window outside your business without having any negative repercussions, meaning that it stores user data securely in order to carry out quickly payments in the future
Cons
Everything that this tool offers is excellent, so I don't dislike it at all, since this tool allows you to implement the payment system in a simple way and thus guarantee customers the security of their transaction in a successful way, intermediary between buyer and seller
