I use Word on a daily basis to verify documents. I use track changes, the option which really saves my time and makes my work easier. I highly recommend the app!
Pros
Modern versions of Microsoft Word are simply amazing. They feel light and clean. There is a plethora of options and functions neatly organised and easily accessible.
there are a lot of resources to browse when you need help.
Cons
I do not really like Microsoft support system. Whenever you speak to the agents they always tell you the same thing, sometimes completely irrelevant and it is much easier to find support on your own online.

Word is still the best document software and worth the time investment to learn
Reviewed on 2025/01/03
Pros
I have been using Word for over 20 years and have seen it evolve through many versions. It has maintained its core functionality extremely well while adding a plethora of features and tools. In a Sharepoint environment, there are so many great collaborative tools that allow multiple users to create and revise documents together. A must for all businesses and educational settings!
Cons
Most users are only familiar with a fraction of the features and functionality available, so there is a learning curve necessary and sadly fewer and fewer people seem to be getting that exposure as simpler tools flood the market, which is unfortunate. Word still has so much to offer.

It could be better if improved. The layout edit and formatting gives me so many issues that I prefer to go with other software. If is 2024 and some of the features shall be updated, but it still gives 1998 feeling. Exporting the document is a lottery, you never know how the page layout would be.
Pros
Choice of fonts and choice of templates, it is universal for each PC machine.
Cons
Very difficult to navigate the columns and layouts once the document is more complex. Also, importing Word files can change the layout which appears totally different and can not be formatted.

Microsoft Word has rightfully stood the test of time. It's organizational features, ease of use, and pre-designed templates can be a great addition for organizations that need functionality, customization, and proper organization with their important documents.
Pros
Microsoft Word is a user-friendly system that makes creating and organizing files a simple process.
Cons
Adding more fonts would be a plus! Also, if there is a way to integrate design systems into Microsoft that would be a fantastic because of the nature of my job. Although I am the Front Desk Receptionist Manager at Calvary University, I often do graphic design work for posters, slides, etc.
