Pingdom

About Pingdom
You can’t fix what you’re not aware of, and you need to find out about website issues quickly because if your customers find out first, it’s game over. For today’s web-scale application environments, it’s not just about the web application’s availability; it’s about the performance and resulting end user’s experience. You need to know right down to the transaction level if your application is available and performing as designed. You need to monitor user interactions and business transactions to provide actionable insights because when availability and performance issues arise, they need to be fixed quickly—before the customer feels the impact.
Key benefits of Pingdom
Pingdom offers powerful and incredibly easy-to-understand uptime and performance monitoring for your websites. With Pingdom, you can:
• Ensure your web application and its key transactions are up and working as designed for all your users, no matter where they are or how they access the
application.
• Know your web application is performing the way it was designed to with an end-to-end view of the interconnected elements supporting it.
• Know who your real visitors are and how your web application is performing for them. Test your web app in the real world, not the ideal conditions of the
data center.
• Be confident your performance monitoring tool can scale with your business technically and cost-effectively.

Simply an amazing product, that lets you stay on top of network outages and assess them in a timely manner. Very affordable, when it comes to cost, comparing to some other options out there. I highly recommend this product.
Pros
I most likely won't even be able to describe how much I like Pingdom. I've used it for many years. Started with a free version and expanded to paid subscriptions. It's always great to know what's going on with your network, when you're not around. Setting up monitoring alerts for specific services allows to decrease downtime and be on top of outages (means, you're a superhero). I've had situations so many time, when you come in in the morning, and a website has been down for several hours. With Pingdom, that's no longer a case. You get notified immediately!
Cons
Can't think of anything. It's so simple and intuitive, even a caveman can do it. Love the mobile app option

Used for years to monitor uptime
Reviewed on 2022/12/28
Pros
This is the go to product for uptime monitoring. Its ease of use for server and website uptime monitoring makes it an easy choice. You can extend the services to carry out transaction monitoring if you need to but the main offering is excellent. We have been using it for over 10 years.
Cons
Nothing to speak of, I really can't think of anything that I don't like.
