About Citrix Endpoint Management
Citrix Endpoint Management is a Citrix-hosted SaaS solution that allows you to harness the power of the cloud to secure and manage mobile devices, apps, and data, giving people the freedom to experience work and life their way. Citrix Endpoint Management easily integrates with your on-premise enterprise systems, allowing you to quickly regain control over mobile devices and apps. Plus, your users enjoy single-click access to all of their mobile, web, and SaaS apps from a corporate app store.
- Deliver a rich user experience with Citrix-developed apps. Use WorxMail for secure email, calendar and contact access, WorxWeb for secure browsing and ShareFile for enterprise data sync.
- Citrix Endpoint Management securely delivers Worx Mobile Apps, the industry’s largest collection of apps built for business. The Worx App SDK empowers the developer’s ability to add critical enterprise security features.
- Configure, secure, and support mobile devices with MDM. Protect company data on any device or corporate asset by troubleshooting and selectively wipe any device if lost, stolen or out of compliance.
- Citrix Endpoint Management FIPS-compliant secure container provides app data encryption on the device while separating personal and company information. XenMobile also offers a micro-app VPN for over-the-air data transmissions that fully encrypts and protects company data.
- Citrix Endpoint Management on-premise and in the cloud deliver the same features, offering the flexibility to choose the best deployment option for your organization. XenMobile cloud multi-tenancy provides peace of mind with secure, dedicated instances and globally redundant infrastructure.
Key benefits of Citrix Endpoint Management
Citrix Endpoint ManagementMDM edition provides key device-level security capabilities for users accessing XenApp and XenDesktop desktops and apps on mobile devices. The mobile device management (MDM) solution lets you:
- Enforce password protection for the device’s lock screen
- Restrict corporate network access from jailbroken devices and blacklisted applications
- Enable encryption for select applications and data at rest and in motion—an especially important capability if your XenApp and XenDesktop policies enable drive mapping
- Prevent data loss with remote lock and wipe capabilities that let you selectively wipe business content on BYOD devices while leaving personal data and applications untouched
Citrix Endpoint Management Enterprise edition supports the next step in your EMM strategy by complementing the device-level security capabilities of XenMobile MDM edition with app-level security features. These include:
- Secure “native-like” mobile apps – Worx Mobile apps let you provide a superior user experience with better-than-native security. WorxMail provides an encrypted secure area for email messages and attachments fully integrated with contacts and calendar. WorxWeb provides encrypted browsing and access to the internal network resources without additional passwords.
- A mobile enterprise app store – Citrix increases time to value for your mobile strategy by providing the world’s largest ecosystem of verified, secure applications supporting windows, SaaS, and natively mobile applications.
- Security for any mobile app – Citrix Endpoint Management Enterprise edition also allows IT to wrap a set of security policies around any mobile app. More than 60 different policies, including passwords, PINs, camera disable, micro-VPN and more can be applied to any mobile app without disrupting its native code.
- Integration with secure file sharing tools – Citrix Endpoint Management Enterprise edition is pre-integrated with Citrix ShareFile to let people share, sync and store data securely anywhere from any device. People can work on data within virtual apps and desktops, then transition quickly to work on the same data in native mobile apps for seamless productivity.

It is a great comprehensive enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution since it allows IT administrators to manage a variety of mobile devices across different platforms such as iOS, Android, and Windows. This includes configuring device settings, enforcing security policies, and ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
Pros
Its ability to provide a comprehensive and unified solution for managing mobile devices, applications, and data in an enterprise environment.
Cons
The implementation and management of Citrix Endpoint Management can be complex, particularly for organizations that are new to Citrix technologies or have limited experience with mobile device management solutions. It's rich feature set and capabilities may require a significant learning curve for administrators and can result in longer deployment times and also necessitate additional training for IT staff to effectively utilize all features.

I appreciate that apps are available to connect me to the things I use most. It’s very seamless moving between one app to another.

XenMobile really helps when I need to access my company's resources. For example, If I forget to clock out at the end of my shift, I can launch my payroll software via XenMobile without having to use a laptop or full blown OS.
Pros
I really liked how Citrix XenMobile integrates my work apps into a Mobile platform. The App Store is helpful and makes it seem as if my company has its own App Store for work specific applications
Cons
I used this on Apple iOS. Sometimes when my device updates its operating system, Citrix is a little slow to make the updates on their end. As a result, sometimes I have to wait before updating my phone's operating system. Usually it takes Citrix a day or two to make their updates.

It allowed me to securely receive email and files while allowing IT to maintain control over company data.
Pros
IT is able to have visibility and police data on mobile devices. When I left the company that used XenMobile, all of the data immediately left my device, so I experienced this benefit firsthand. SecureMail worked well with Outlook.
Cons
There were some compatibility issues with certain applications and opening links proved difficult at times. It fell short compared to the native apps on my iPhone.
