About Eyefinity OfficeMate

OfficeMate satisfies all of your practice management needs and maintains and manages patient demographic information that is easily entered and accessed. This includes such areas as marketing, recall, and insurances; patient schedules, which can be viewed by day or week as well as by provider. It also displays no shows, cancellations, balance, family members, and the last appointment.

Final Rx information can be either manually entered or automatically transferred from ExamWRITER; and fee slips that clearly display products and services in a line item format and import diagnosis and procedure codes from ExamWRITER. OfficeMate also features FrameMate, which can be used to import frame inventory data directly from the FRAMES Data CD-ROM.

User friendly patient management system that meets all your basic needs and then some.

Pros

Great Customer Service (with Maintenance Agreement)
Easy to Navigate
Great Database for tutorials and training
Paired with ExamWriter, it makes billing and coding fool proof

Cons

After each new update there are lots of bugs that need to be worked out, these bugs take quite some time to get sorted.
Updates have to be done manually on each workstation
Expensive if you want to use their cloud service, otherwise you're stuck with keeping a server on site

Terrible. This system may have been great in 2000 until maybe 2005, but using it in 2022 would be a huge disservice to you and your team.

Pros

I can't think of a single thing I liked about this software.

Cons

Takes forever to load, antiquated system and style, can't have multiple accounts open or multiple windows, terrible report printing, analytics are costly, customer service is 24-48 hour turnaround time, prescriptions are not sent electronically, scheduling is difficult, requires a physical server, difficult to update patient demographics.

Adequate for Our Needs

Officemate takes care of our basic needs, but I would prefer to see some reform in the program

Pros

Appointment scheduling and creating fee slips are mostly intuitive for what our office needs.

Cons

Exam writer seems complicated and technical. Unable to delete duplicate patients. E-Documents system only creates pathway to documents saved on your server rather than saving them into the EHR. Refunds or editing fee slips can seem complicated.
