Virtual Classroom software for live online classes4.5/5 (19 reviews)
WizIQ’s state-of-the-art Virtual Classroom, designed specifically for education, provides all the features and tools needed to simulate the face-to-face classroom experience. It has features like real-time audiovisual communication, text chat, breakout rooms, interactive whiteboards, screen sharing, online tests and assessments, attendance report and notifications, polling, and more.
WizIQ offers one of the most comprehensive online teaching system available to educators. Educators can create synchronous courses with live classes or self paced asynchronous courses. It enables instructors to include a variety of courseware and nearly any file type in their curricula, like Word, PDF, PPT, audio and video files.
No downloads or cumbersome client software is required to use WizIQ Virtual Classroom. It works from any web browser and also provides Apps for iPads and Android devices. All one needs is a web connection.
It has a multilingual interface and supports 20 languages. WizIQ Virtual Classroom can also be integrated with learning management systems like Moodle, Blackboard, Instructure Canvas, Sakai, Joomla or with any website through WizIQ APIs.
Designed specially for education: Unlike other platforms that provide only some of the features needed to teach online, WizIQ Virtual Classroom provides a one stop shop for all the tools needed to deliver a class online. The platform provides everything that a teacher needs to take their teaching online, from a virtual classroom, to functionality to create and deliver courses with assessment tools and content sharing feature.
I used to work for a tutor company in the past and we used WizIQ basically to conduct classes. Not only classes but also training was conducted through this platform. We can record the class so the recording is available to students who were absent. Apart from the classes, the app also has a library where you can store all the course materials required for the class, including assignments. It is just basically a mini virtual school.
You just have all the tools you need for a class but virtual. You could have presentation, paper and paper in the class at the same time. You can have video streaming or only audio. As the class host (teacher) you have control on what controls the participants have. You can give them the writing and speaking access. Having tests in the classroom is also convenient as you can split the students to different class. You can schedule the classes weeks prior according to the schedule. Admin accounts basically have control have the classes and tutor accounts just have to attend them. We can extend the class if it is running a bit late, a very useful feature. I love how the app gets the feedback from the students at the end of the class.
The class was not very smooth at low bandwidths. The streaming was real bad and often get kicked out of the class.
In the past I used the old whiteboard which despite it's dark and dreary frame, and the poor audio and video, had all the features I needed (as long as you used Skype alongside it).
The new system is hard to use for individual one to one tuition. I no longer use it as the lack of synchronisation and poor features made some lessons frankly embarrassing.
Customer service wise they are awful, they do answer questions but requests for refunds fall on deaf ears. The live help takes ages to respond. The staff do their nest to help but for my intended use, the features I want just aren't there. I logged back into my account after a few months hoping things had improved but to no avail.
Clean interface, looks good at first glance. Audio and video clear.
Complex to set up a one to one session, you have to make sure you are in Instructor mode. The system defaults to Courses, so you have to also change to Live Classes. The whole experience of just setting up a single class involves multiple steps and if you also have to make sure that you select the option for only enrolled users to attend, or else in theory anyone could join, which is bad for safeguarding regulations.
Difficult to delete complex diagrams or long mathematical derivations. The eraser tool is clunky to say the least.
The worst thing is that my students often couldn't see the same part of the page as me. Added to that if you want to upload multiple documents for a single session, that you may not use again that year, it is all left in your library. In the past you could just upload for that session and only add what you wanted to the library. When you add content you have to choose from everything you have uploaded for previous sessions.
Basically not fit for my purposes, I regret the massive waste of money.
I am able to teach or train student online.
All the Teaching Tools available in the classroom, Recording of Virtual Classroom, Flipped Classroom, Screen Sharing, Instant document upload, Immediate response through poll, Sharing of poll results with the learners, Giving writing option to the learners, Chating box, Can pause the recording of classroom in case needed, Webcam, It shows the logo of the Online Academy along with WIZIQ logo, Option of downloading the recording in various format, Can show some videos of youtube related to the topic in the class room.
A person who is not tech savvy can not use this software for teaching specially subject like Accountancy and Mathematics. They will have to invest on the additional device along with this software for online teaching. Because solving a sum with the help of keyboard takes a lot of time if we are not used to it.
I've been using WizIQ for over a year. I've held classes of different sizes as well as one-on-one lessons. The virtual classroom has good, responsive tools. The quiz software is also easy to figure out and offers convenient options. Students have responded well to the experience of learning on this platform. The tech support has been very responsive.
Can make or not make presentation slides available.
Easy to share documents/handouts and private quizzes.
Easy to create courses and upload course materials.
Great to have access to the Course Feed, the private discussion board.
Convenient tools in the virtual classroom.
Responsive tech support.
The experience of the virtual classroom largely depends on the users' connection. Students with poor Internet connections can experience interruptions, but when everyone has a strong connection, the classroom experience is at its best. WizIQ, though, is always ready to help even through a live chat.
Would like more promotional widgets for courses/classes.
i buy WizIQ software and is going on online classes .there is no any problem with this software.
in this software tools are user friendly.
for very long time screen blink.not always.
WizIQ is a learning management platform that makes transitioning from the physical classroom to online classes as painless as possible. Complete with tools, features and products to facilitate online education or distance tutoring, WizIQ requires no special software, hardware or technical skills to get started, either as a teacher or student. Using the WizIQ Virtual Classroom, instructors can deliver interactive online classes and teach just as in a physical classroom. Time-saving collaboration features between teachers and students are also available, and well-documented APIs allow just about anyone, from the private tutor to universities, to get started with online teaching.
Some of WizIQ Virtual Classroom’s core features include audio-video communication, whiteboard, text chat, content library, and desktop screen sharing. Other features include multilingual support, polls, breakout rooms, integrated media player, attendance reports and notifications, teacher-managed control options, plug-ins, iPad and Android apps, live class recording, network health monitor, and 24/7 customer and technical support.
Because more and more people are turning to the Internet for just about anything, including learning, it’s no surprise that distance education is on an increasingly upward trajectory. With the Internet being a global platform, instructors are afforded far-reaching teaching capabilities, and students, regardless of their geographical locations or time preferences, can join courses crafted by world-class instructors on various topics.
More than just a web conferencing platform, WizIQ Virtual Classroom’s multi-way video and audio features allow for an interactive learning environment that simulates face-to-face teaching, like it’s done in a traditional classroom setup.
WizIQ Virtual Classroom’s audio and video communication feature allows a maximum of six people to collaborate via live full-screen video streams, without the need to download any software. Simultaneous audio communication can be conducted with any number of people, and echo cancellation allows for clear, no-echo communication lines. WizIQ Virtual Classroom utilizes peer-to-peer (P2P) networking technology to minimize server delays and latency issues.
Audio and video controls can be awarded to students to allow them to speak. This then gives them the option to share their desktops, audio and video with other people in the class.
The WizIQ Virtual Classroom whiteboard functionality equips instructors and presenters with multiple teaching paraphernalia like drawing tools, selection and pointing tools, mathematical toolbar, and tabs for multiple whiteboards. The whiteboard facilitates delightful, real-time classes, as it can be used to solve mathematical equations, write notes, create diagrams, and show graphs. Your work can be saved for future reference, and multiple to unlimited whiteboards ensure you don’t have to erase anything.
The whiteboard allows instructors to play PowerPoint presentations, project spreadsheets, and share documents from your computer or the Content Library. To play videos, they can be accessed using their respective YouTube URLs or uploaded to the Content Library. Once given the controls, students can also use the whiteboard to brainstorm ideas among themselves.
Equipped with multiple language capabilities so teachers and students can communicate in the language they’re comfortable with, WizIQ Virtual Classroom’s text chat feature makes way for real-time collaboration between teachers and students.
Group chat allows students to ask clarifying questions, and the one-on-one chat function enables teachers to give certain students the personalized attention they need. The chat room can also be customized, like assigning colors to distinguish topics or the people on board.
The Content Library serves as the centralized depository where instructors can store all of their educational resources, which they can then easily add to their classes or courses whenever appropriate. Previously uploaded files in the Content Library can also be used for live, real-time Virtual Classroom discussions. File formats can include Word documents, PDFs, videos, audios, and presentations, and can be up to 1 GB in size.
For easy access anytime, anywhere, and on any device, WizIQ’s cloud-based Content Library uses Amazon’s global cloud infrastructure, on top of the WizIQ built-in content viewer and native mobile apps.
The WizIQ Virtual Classroom’s ability to share desktop screens with students in real time enables teachers to enhance their students’ learning experience, like in the case of software demos or presentations not previously uploaded in the Content Library.
Likewise, students can share their desktop screens to emphasize the difficulties they’re experiencing, if any, or to supplement their assertions. It can also be used for collaborative projects, such as gathering real-time inputs for a report that’s due in a few days.

This allows them to manage, schedule and conduct live classes directly from the site or LMS. The API also lets users manage multiple instructor accounts, add, change or delete information about a teacher, and upload course content from their own websites.
