About Zoho Assist

Zoho Assist is a instant remote support software for customer support. The cloud-based platform allows users to access the remote desktop of their customers, share screens, or manage unattended computers in order to aid with IT, MSP, or general customer issues. Zoho Assist is a one-stop solution for remote support, screen sharing, and remote access.

Features of the Zoho Assist platform include the ability to provide on-demand remote support to clients, gain unattended remote access, transfer files, carry out voice and video chat, reboot and reconnect remote computer systems, and provide suport across multiple monitors. Through remote desktop connection, support staff are able to troubleshoot issues on remote PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and servers.

Zoho Assist requires no prior installation of any software and can be run entirely in a web browser. It's crafted for outsourced and MSP IT support, customer support, and IT help desks. Zoho Assist supports all major operating systems and works well with firewalls and proxies. The Zoho Assist mobile app allows users to carry out a remote session from their mobile device.

Seems to work well with just a couple of quirks

Pros

It's pretty responsive, seems to be tolerant of reboots and network interruptions, and the file transfer and diagnostic features work pretty well.

Cons

1) the ZA server doesn't always recognize when a computer is offline, and 2) sometimes the session will freeze if you log out of the remote computer's user account, necessitating a disconnect and reconnection to the session. And 3) Certain keyboard combinations, such as anything with the Windows key, do not work and you have to use the "Sticky Key" feature, which works but is a bit clunky to get used to.

Looking for a budget friendly version of TeamViewer

It works and the price are very attractive.

Cons

It seems like I have to use via browser and I need a while to get used to the mobile app.

Pretty happy with Zoho Assist for the price and it integrates with their other products too.

Pros

Simple to use and it works across all platforms I need.

Cons

Integration with Desk was a bit tricky... contacts / emails were case sensitive. Documentation could be improved with regards to the customer side of the experience... I am often having to talk my customers through the process and it's different on different devices so can be confusing.
